When I joined Touchcast in 2016 they were in the middle of rebuilding Lotto New Zealand's website and App. The Lotto games would be available to play online plus check tickets purchased from the store. User experience was a big challenge but also bringing the master brand and its 5 key game brands into the mobile world. Colour and brand assets worked well for print and 'shouty' in-store retail environments but were distracting when navigating on digital devices. The design also had to pass Accessibility requirements.
My role as Design Director was to lead major design decisions, present to stakeholders, run design sprints and create the style guide. I also did some of the design work towards the end.
We had a team of 6 UI and UX designers it was a tight time frame over 6 months designing and testing 100's of screens but delivered on time and with client approval.
